More Than a Recall Count

A model's reputation doesn't decide your case. The symptoms your vehicle has, the repairs attempted and the time you lost matter most.

These are model-year search shortcuts, not a statement that each year has a defect. For other years or configurations, use the full vehicle search.

About These Records

NHTSA records below refer to 2026 Nissan Leaf vehicles, not all model years or your specific VIN. Complaints are unverified reports. No records does not mean a vehicle is trouble-free.

2026 Leaf Recall Records

Campaigns can apply only to specific configurations and production dates. Confirm whether your VIN is affected with NHTSA or the manufacturer.

Recall Notices for This Model Year

SEAT BELTS:REAR/OTHER:RETRACTOR · 26V425000

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2026 LEAF vehicles. The outer rear seat belt automatic locking retractors (ALR) may deactivate early, which can prevent a child restraint system (CRS) from securing properly. Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear outboard seat belt assemblies, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 28, 2026. Does My Nissan Leaf Qualify?

A model's recall history cannot answer that question. Your repair attempts, when the problem was first reported and the vehicle-coverage rules in Maryland or D.C. matter. A lawyer can review those facts rather than relying on a model-wide rating.

If Lemon Law does not cover your circumstances, federal warranty or other consumer claims may be worth discussing. No remedy is guaranteed.
