Attorney · Former Prosecutor

I love cars. I've also owned two lemons, so I know what it's like to keep driving back to the dealer for the same problem and be told it can't be duplicated.

About Me

I've been a car person my whole life. That's exactly why owning two lemons hit me hard. I did what most people do: I kept the appointments, explained the problem again, and waited for a fix that didn't come.

  • Lemon #1: 2003 Audi A4 Quattro. It had a manual transmission that would get stuck in gear, and I could not shift to another gear. The transmission had to be changed twice, and each time the car was in the shop for weeks because the transmission had to be imported from Germany.
  • Lemon #2: 2010 BMW 750 LI. It started showing error messages about a loss of power and would go into limp mode. You could be traveling at 65 MPH on the highway, and it would suddenly drop to 15 MPH and warn you to pull over. It was extremely dangerous and unpredictable, especially considering that I would have my wife and kids in the car. I gave the dealer over 8 opportunities to fix this issue.

I was a prosecutor before going into private practice. That work taught me to build a case from records, dates and testimony, and to prepare every file as if it will be tested.

What I drive and love now: My daily driver is a 2023 Lexus GX 460. Some may call it boring. I love it because it is extremely dependable; it starts every time and has no issues. I also enjoy spirited driving, and on those days I drive a 2004 Porsche Carrera C4S 6-speed manual. The Porsche is 23 years old and has been extremely reliable, even under aggressive driving.

Why Lemon Law

I've been the owner holding a stack of repair orders and hearing that nothing is wrong. So when you call me, I start with your paperwork and your story, not with assumptions about you or your car. I look at every visit, every day the vehicle sat at the shop, and every response from the dealer and manufacturer. Then I tell you plainly what I see, including when I think your case doesn't fit the law.

A Personal Note

I've sat in that dealership waiting room, so I know how it feels to be handed off and told to wait. Your case won't be sold or sent off to a call center: I review it myself, my paralegals keep it moving, and if another attorney ever joins as co-counsel, I'll tell you up front and stay involved from first call to resolution.

Tell Me What Keeps Happening

Bring your repair orders and your purchase or lease paperwork. I'll review them with you and explain your options in plain terms.
